ASHLEY ZANNINI

Everyone as a kid has different ideas about what they want to be when they grow up - a veterinarian or a fashion designer, two professions that I claimed I wanted to be. Architecture was never a thought until the first year of high school when we toured the Career and Technical Center, and I was quickly introduced to the Architectural/Drafting Program. Out of the eight programs offered at the center this was the only one that piqued my interest, so I gave it a shot. Over the course of three years, I learned how to detail drawings by hand and use multiple computer drafting programs. Architecture and design started to become a passion of mine and made me think about my future.
Deciding to major in architecture led me to Roger Williams University, in Bristol, RI where I studied for six years. In summer 2019 I received my bachelor’s degree and started to look for a summer internship opportunity, which is when I started working at BISBANO. As I moved forward to get my Master of Architecture, I continued to intern on my winter breaks and summer vacations until 2021 when I became a full-time Architectural Designer. I recently was promoted to Project Manager in which I oversee multiple retail projects and collaborate with clients and contractors.
