OBJECTIVE

Bank of America contracted us to redefine their flagship banking center located in the heart of downtown Boston's financial district.

As an executive office hub, the retail space at 100 Federal needed to stand alone via fresh, one of a kind design concepts that broke the model of traditional store design and standardization. This was accomplished via a 20 ft high interior glass wall with self-supporting structural glass fins to delineate the bank from the newly created common building lobby.

This project further challenged our team structurally. It was imperative to create direct access from the lobby and customer service areas down to the business banking center located in what was a former 6,000 SF safe deposit vault. A new elevator and open stairwell required the removal of 3 layers of steel reinforced concrete vault deck dedicated to the existing exterior plaza infrastructure.
